From Your Heber Springs School Nurses
As we begin the month of March, we are experiencing a late flu season while seasonal allergies are also increasing across our community.
We encourage everyone to remain vigilant during this time. If you or your student struggle with seasonal allergies, please stay consistent with prescribed allergy medications. Managing symptoms early can help prevent complications and help students feel their best each day.
We also want to remind everyone of the importance of simple prevention habits:
Wash hands frequently with soap and water
Cover coughs and sneezes
Stay home if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms
Avoid sharing personal water bottles or drinks
These small but important steps help protect not only your family, but our entire Greater Panther Family.
The health and well-being of our students and staff remains our highest priority. Thank you for partnering with us to keep our schools healthy and strong.

Go Panthers! 🐾

Veterans Day was first observed in 1919, marking the first anniversary of the end of World War I. Originally called Armistice Day, it became a national holiday in 1938 and was renamed Veterans Day in 1954 to honor all who served in peace and in war.
From the beaches of Normandy to the mountains of Afghanistan, our veterans have defended freedom, upheld justice, and shown unmatched courage and sacrifice.
At Heber Springs Schools, we are grateful for every veteran including the many heroes in our Panther community who have worn the uniform of our nation.
Thank you for your service.
Thank you for your sacrifice.
We honor you today and every day.

Heber Springs Schools Has Something to Celebrate! Our students, teachers, and staff have achieved something amazing, and we’re proud to share the results!
For the first time ever, the state has assigned letter grades to districts based on accountability data from grades 3–10 and graduation rates.
Heber Springs has officially been rated an “A” District!
We are one of only 22 districts in the entire state to earn this top rating!
Heber Springs Elementary will receive $31,158 in state reward money for being in the top 6–10% for growth, and
Heber Springs High School will receive $22,487 for ranking in the top 6–10% for performance!
This accomplishment is a direct reflection of the passion, dedication, and excellence that our students and staff bring to our classrooms every single day.
Thank you to our entire Heber Springs community for believing in our students and supporting our schools. Together, we are an A-rated district — and we’re just getting started!
